As the name implies, a profit quota uses gross profit as the basis. This gross profit isn\u2019t usually calculated for the entire company but instead by individual salespersons, specific products or services, or even entire sales teams.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re assigned a gross profit quota, to get the quota, your sales manager would subtract the cost of goods sold by the selling expenses.
