Use the MCP Client Tool node to give any n8n AI Agent access to your EngageBay CRM. Build workflows that look up contacts, count deals by stage or check pipelines, driven by an agent that calls EngageBay directly.
n8n connects to the hosted EngageBay MCP server over streamable HTTP. There are 19 tools, so workflows can query your CRM and create or update records — but never delete them.
How to connect EngageBay to n8n
Open or create a workflow
Add an AI Agent node with a chat model, or open an existing agent workflow.
Add the MCP Client Tool
On the AI Agent node, select the Tool connector and add MCP Client Tool.
Configure the connection
Set the endpoint to the EngageBay MCP server URL and the server transport to HTTP Streamable.

Choose an authentication method and create a credential with your EngageBay MCP access token. Set Tools to Include to All, or pick specific tools.
Test and automate
Open the chat, ask “List my open deals”, and check that the agent calls EngageBay. Then trigger the workflow from a schedule, webhook or form.

Frequently asked questions
No. The MCP Client Tool node lets your n8n agent call the EngageBay MCP server. The MCP Server Trigger node is for exposing n8n workflows as tools, which is a different use case.
Only within the permissions you grant. n8n can create and update contacts, companies, deals, tasks and appointments when your connection has the matching write permission, and products are read only. It cannot delete anything — no EngageBay MCP tool deletes records, and no permission grants deletion.
