What this tool does
A product isn't attached to a deal directly — it's attached through a line item, which is a separate record linking the two. That means “which deals include this product?” isn't something a regular filter_groups condition on search_crm_objects can express, because there's no direct product field to filter deals on.
find_deals_by_product exists specifically to answer that question. Give it a product's id, and it returns the deals that have a line item referencing that product — without you needing to know anything about how line items work behind the scenes.
You need the product's id first. This tool takes a product_id, not a product name. Look the product up first with search_crm_objects using object_type: "product" (matching on name), then pass its id here.

“Which deals include the Starter Plan product?”
“Show me every open deal tied to our Enterprise package.”
“How many deals have this product attached?” — count the records this tool returns, up to the 50 it returns in one call, so a full page means “at least 50”, not a total.
Why this is a separate tool
search_crm_objects filters records of one object type at a time using fields that live directly on that record. Because the product-to-deal relationship lives in a line item rather than on the deal itself, there's no product field on a deal to filter on — so this relationship needs its own purpose-built tool rather than an extra filter option.
