get_crm_objects EngageBay MCP tool

Fetch full, current detail on specific records — up to 50 in one call — once you already know their ids or a contact's email address. This is the tool for “tell me everything about this record,” not for finding records in the first place.

What this tool does

Where search_crm_objects and the keyword searches are for finding which records match a condition, get_crm_objects is for reading everything about records you've already identified. Give it one or more ids — up to 50 at once — and it returns full detail: every email and phone number, the full address, all custom field values, and related ids such as the owner or associated company.

It reads directly from the record, not from a search index, so unlike a search result, what you get back is always current — even if the record changed a moment ago.

For contacts specifically, there's a shortcut: instead of an id, you can pass an email address and skip the lookup step entirely.

This tool doesn't search. It fetches records whose ids (or, for a contact, whose email) you already have. To find which records match a condition in the first place, use search_crm_objects, search_contacts, or search_companies, then pass the ids here for full detail.

What you can ask

“Show me the contact with email [email protected] and the notes on them.”

“Pull full detail on these three deals.”

“What's the current address and phone number on file for this company?”

“Give me the current, up-to-the-second status of this record” — anywhere freshness matters more than convenience.

Permissions

Access is checked per object type, using the same read scopes as search_crm_objects:

object_typePermission required
contactcrm.contacts.read
companycrm.companies.read
dealcrm.deals.read
productcrm.deals.read
taskcrm.tasks.read
calendar_eventcrm.appointments.read

Less access is handled gracefully. If your connection wasn't granted the permission for a given object type, fetching it returns a clear refusal naming the missing permission — not a partial or empty record that looks like a real answer.
